A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Red Lion Coaching Inn.
The Inn, situated in the historic parish town of Epworth welcomes customers new and old to drink, dine, stay and celebrate!
Epworth attracts many visitors each year as the birthplace of Charles and John Wesley and its history steeped in Methodism. The Red Lion is the place John Wesley often stayed on his own visits to the town later in his life. In our ‘Tartan Room’ hangs a portrait depicting John Wesley which was plucked from the fire in ‘The Rectory’ in February 1709.
Mentioned in the Doomsday book the Red Lion has kept many of its original features and has a charming period interior that complements its character as a traditional English country Inn.
If visiting Epworth, The Red Lion is an ideal place to stop for a well deserved drink, bite to eat and with rooms starting from just £39 it offers a comfortable place to stay.
